It was Dale's intention to make
a virtual tour of the beautiful Pura Taman Sarasvati, a
prominent temple in central Ubud during a visit in July of
2018, but the immigration authorities decided otherwise!
Luckily he found this virtual tour on the Roundme Site,
courtesy of Alexey Miroshnikov, which is embedded below.
Although it does not contain an explanatory narrative
track, it provides a good sense of the temple layout.
Typical Balinese temples are divided into three areas, as
shown in the photo to the left. They are the Jaba or outer
courtyard, the Jaba
Tengah middle courtyard, and the Jeroan--the
innermost and sacred courtyard. The features of these
three courtyards can be seen more clearly in the larger
diagram below.
